About MOCHA-Seattle

Welcome to MOCHA-Seattle (Mothers of CHildren with Autism)!

MOCHA-Seattle is a lively group, oriented toward upbeat talk about our lives, our kids, and how to help our children develop and heal.  We have monthly meetings of our members.  Membership is free, just come!  We collect no dues and have no membership fees.  We are truly a grassroots organization whose number one goal is to provide support and exchange information.  We’re a group of parents, helping parents.  Frequently our meetings are simply parents getting together to discuss all things associated with having a child on the autism spectrum.   However, occasionally speakers volunteer their time at our meetings as well.  (To learn more about past speakers please visit our “Past Speakers” page).

We discuss whatever our members are interested in discussing at any given meeting. Many in the group do successful biomedical interventions to advance/recover their children. Biomedical intervention is not a requirement, but open discussions and sharing of resources for those who would like to learn more, occurs regularly.

MOCHA-Seattle usually meets North or East of Seattle (depending on the month) on the fourth Saturday of each month, 10:30am to 12:30pm.  All parents (and family members) of children on the spectrum or with related developmental issues are welcome.  Childcare is not available.  Please check out our “Upcoming Meetings and Events” page for more information on upcoming meetings.
